Sally-Ann founded and created
Brighton and Hove Albion FC’s
Cheerleaders, Gully’s Girls, in the Summer of 2005.
First on show
at the Withdean Stadium with only 8 girls, the troupe has now expanded to
22 members. The Gully’s Girls perform on Match Days at the Seagulls new
home, The American Express Community Stadium in front of a whopping 22,500
Brighton fans and have become an integral part of the pre-match
entertainment.
Whilst on maternity leave, Sally-Ann handed over
her duties as Head Coach to Jo (JoJo) Wilson who has since become the
Troupe Manager ‘under Sally-Ann’s wing’.
Sally-Ann says “We are lucky to
have some outstanding choreographers within the Gully’s Girls…they perform
a variety of styles varying from Hip Hop to Jazz and have recently started
perfecting their cheer stunting work which involves throwing each other in
the air at every opportunity! I am so proud of everything the girls have
achieved in the last 6 years and love seeing them improve and better
themselves Season upon Season….they’re all lovely too – which is an added
bonus”.
Many of the girls who have performed with the troupe grew
up dancing with Robin and Sally-Ann at Let’s Dance and
Point4. Others have come from all over Sussex to share in
the enjoyment of Cheerleading for such a great football team.
